Summer Concerts and Festivals

The semester is winding down, finals are coming to an end, summer is right around the corner – and so are summer concerts and festivals! With each and every summer comes the hottest musical talent to a city near you, and this summer is shaping up to be unreal for concert-goers and festival junkies. There is so much for everyone coming up in these next 3 or 4 months. You better start working your butt off so you can afford to attend all of them!

The Show of the Summer:
Justin Timberlake & Jay-Z Legends of Summer Tour. Doesn’t the name say everything you need to know? Epic.

EDM fans:
If you do your research, there’s an EDM festival taking place just about every weekend this summer, in one city or another. If there isn’t a festival, you can assume that there are at least a handful of DJs performing at bars and clubs somewhere near you that weekend. Here are just a few of the festivals that we recommend if you’re looking to enjoy an entire weekend of crazy partying and awesome music…
Electric Daisy Carnival – catch EDC this summer in Chicago, NY, Vegas, and the UK.
Electric Zoo in New York
TomorrowWorld in Georgia
TomorrowLand in Belgium, for our international friends and world travelers!
Electric Forest in Michigan

Country lovers:
For country fans, first of all; I’m sorry to hear that. Secondly, there are still some pretty great concerts this summer that will call for the dusting off of your cowboy boots and hats – if you’re into that sort of thing. If you’re one of the few who still consider Taylor Swift to be a country artist, she’s heading out on tour this summer. Also check out:
Tim McGraw
– Jason Aldean
– Zac Brown Band
– Dierks Bentley
– Keith Urban
– and basically everyone else…

Hip Hop shows
Among the many tours featuring popular rap/hip hop artists, Rock the Bells is celebrating their 10th year running this summer. The lineup has yet to be announced but it is guaranteed to be out of this world, stacked with huge industry names – as it always is.

Pop concerts
Beyonce – Mrs. Carter World Tour – this is definitely a must-see this summer. Come on – it’s Queen Bey. Hopefully there are no power outages this time.
Maroon 5 – some Adam Levine for the ladies.
Pitbull & Ke$ha – if you like annoying music.

Alternative/ A little bit of everything
Warped Tour
– Bonnaroo
in Tennessee
– North Coast Music Festival
in Chicago. Featuring names such as Afrojack, Wu Tang, Big Gigantic, Mac Miller, Lotus, Nas, Purty Ring…
Made in America Festival in Philly, featuring Beyonce, Nine Inch Nails, Deadmau5, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis, Calvin Harris, Wiz Khalifa, Imagine Dragons & more…
